- December. UK Universities UNIX
Newsletter Vol 1, No 1 (Editor Peter Gray).
- 1977
- March. Alistair Kilgour proposes the setting up of a UK UNIX Users
Group, perhaps as a Decus SIG.
- May. UNIX Colloquium held at University of
Glasgow. The meeting finishes with the initial meeting of the UKUUG
(Decus SIG) where Alistair Kilgour is elected Chairman with Peter Gray
as Secretary and Newsletter Editor.

- September. UKUUG Colloquium held at
University of Salford at which it was decided to affiliate with Decus
