| No picture available | Alex Bligh is a lead volunteer developer working on the Xara LX project. He has been responsible for several subsystems including dialogs, printing, the resource system, gtk integration, and the 64 bit port Alex also advised Xara on their business and technical strategy for taking their application open-source. Having left Xara's software development company to start an ISP in 1995, Alex became a serial entrepreneur, starting several companies including Nominet UK (the uk internet domain registry) and Redbus Interhouse (a colocation provider), and serving on the boards of many others. Most of these ventures have relied heavily on Linux and other open-source software. Alex has been an intermittent contributor to various open-source projects ever since making minor contributions to the Linux kernel in the early nineties. He now actively works on wxWidgets and wxAUI in addition to his work on Xara LX. 2006-05 |
