| No picture available | I am a medical doctor, qualified at Manchester University, with over ten years" experience of laboratory medicine in the UK. In a previous medical post, I was responsible for the specification, commissioning and implementation of a small single-speciality laboratory specimen reporting system. I became interested in the mismatch between the needs of Medical Laboratories (indeed, the Health Service in general) and the commercial products available. In 2002, I started Project Ganesh to develop a specification for Hospital Laboratory Software in order to improve the standard and interoperability of laboratory software systems and to act as a new model for systems analysis and software development in the Health Service. 2003-05 |
