UKUUG Biographical details

A 26 year old Frenchman, David Faure has been a KDE developer since 1998 and is currently maintainer of the Konqueror file manager and web browser and the KWord word processor. David also works on the KDE libraries, the KOffice framework and its filters.

Between December 1999 and December 2002 he was employed by MandrakeSoft to develop KDE. Since January he has been working for Klarälvdalens Datakonsult AB on various projects like the Kroupware office interoperability project and teaching Qt programming. Half his time is sponsored by Trolltech to work on KDE and KOffice.
