UKUUG Biographical details

Shigeki Ouchi studied at Tokyo University in Japan, and received a Diploma in precision engineering in 1993. Since joining Ricoh Company Ltd as a software engineer in 1993, he has studied color image processing for digital copier and document image processing such as OCR, and layout analysis in R&D Center. He is now studying OS and network systems and is working on porting linux to digital camera in the Software R&D Group.

It was 1995 when he installed Linux for the first time, and since then he has worked with it first as an application programmer for 7 years and then for 2 years as a kernel programmer.
