| I've been involved with ARM CPUs and products for about 11 years, and in the last 4 have been working on ARMLinux things at Aleph One, where I'm Chief Nerd. I'm a Debian developer on the ARM port, project lead for Embedded Debian which works on ways to make Debian suitable for embedded systems, and I help out on various other projects. I've done distributions for Acorn Risc PCs and Psion handhelds, written a book 'Guide to ARMLinux for developers' and maintained an ARM GNU toolchain guide. Aleph One has been making Open Hardware boards (LART+KSB, and Balloon) available to developers along with an embedded distribution, based on debian and emdebian. I'm very interested in the potential of having a completely open set of software and hardware for people to use, and in the tools needed to build complicated systems reliably and relatively painlessly. 2004-05 |
