Hints and tips for writing fast and good looking programs for X:
Assumed is a basic knowledge of Xlib and client-server
architecture and basic graphcis drawing and clipping algorithms - this talk is intended
for people wanting to learn Xlib or who are fairly new to writing programs for X.
Carsten Haitzler is a senior software engineer with VA Linux systems in Sunnyvale, California.
Educated at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, his programs include Enlightenment, Electric Eyes, Gtk theme engines, Imlib, Imlib 2 and Epplets, several of which are still ongoing projects. Carsten has also worked for Red Hat software, and contributed several graphics libraries to Linux.
