Zope - The Open Source Web Application Server

Zope is an Open Source Web Application server that emphasizes object-publishing on the Web. Since object-orientation is not very common in Web publishing, usually a steep learning curve is involved, but the results are seen quickly.

During my talk I will introduce the Zope platform as well as the community behind it. I shall discuss Zope's architecture and its design as well as its ability to stay scalable, fast and reliable. Furthermore, third party products will be introduced to show the wide variety of applications that can be accomplished using the platform. Finally some sample applications/Web Sites will be shown as case studies.
