Linux 2003

A wide cross-section of the Linux community will gather in Edinburgh this summer for the UK Unix User Group's annual linux technical conference. It's a great way to broaden your knowledge and keep up-to-date with what's happening in the world of linux. This low-cost event is for anyone with a serious interest in linux including systems administrators, linux professionals, developers and enthusiasts from companies and linux user groups throughout the UK and beyond.

Tutorials

We're offering a choice of two full-day tutorials on Thursday 31st July:-

• Inside the Linux Kernel - Stephen Tweedie (Red Hat) (Places still available)
• Python for Programmers - John Pinner and David Chan (Clockwork Systems) (Fully booked)

Conference

The conference runs from Friday 1st August to Sunday 3rd August.

Venue

Our venue is George Watson's College in Edinburgh. The conference proper starts 11am on Friday and finishes by 3pm on Sunday. Internet access will be available (including wireless). Many delegates are taking the opportunity to extend their stay and see more of Edinburgh.

Booking

Bookings are now being taken. Early Bird rates were available until 30th June. The standard members' conference rate is now £30 for one day or £60 for all three days; the tutorial day costs £50. For student members it costs just £12.50 for the tutorial and £15 for the whole 3-day conference.
