Andy Fenselau - Silicon GraphicsNew Breakthroughs in Linux SupercomputingAndy Fenselau will discuss the new frontier of problems that can now be solved with scalable, 64-bit Linux implementations in a low-latency NUMA architecture. Hear about new opportunities for open-source computing that were not possible before the advent of 64-bit NUMA implementations. Specific topics will include how large shared-memory spaces, extremely low-latency interconnections and scalable I/O throughput bring the benefits of open-source computing into traditional supercomputing markets. Specific industry areas for discussion will include government/defense, sciences and manufacturing. |
