Linux 2006A wide cross-section of the Linux community will gather in Brighton for the annual UKUUG Linux Technical Conference. from Thursday 29th June - Sunday 2nd July 2006. It's a great way to broaden your knowledge and keep up-to-date with what's happening in the world of linux. This low-cost event is for anyone with a serious interest in linux including systems administrators, linux professionals, developers and enthusiasts from companies and linux user groups throughout the UK and beyond. New this year is a full day of introductory talks on Saturday 1st July for people relatively new to linux. Attendance at this part of the event is free of charge, but please book in advance, as capacity is limited. Bookings should be made through this web page. Event details and booking form. Since the booklet was produced, we have received generous sponsorship from The Positive Internet Company and the conference dinner on Friday evening will now be free to conference delegates. The number of places is limited though, so please book soon! Tickets for guests not attending the conference remain available at £25 per head. (If you're a delegate who already paid, we'll arrange a refund.) Conference CDA conference CD, sponsored by Novell, will be produced containing the speakers' papers. This will be given free to all tutorial and conference delegates at the event. A copy will also be sent afterwards to UKUUG members who didn't attend. Building upon previous years' events, this promises to be a very successful conference. There should be plenty of time for informal discussions.
