The Interactive Europen Grid project (int.eu.grid)

The EU funded project int.eu.grid was started in May2006. It will extend the grid middleware that is developed in our partner project EGEE in order to support

• Zero Queuetime Interactivity
• MPI across Clusters
• User friendly grid-access
• Transparent access to Clusters in Europe

This is done in order to attract more applications to the grid. As early adopters we support 4 initial applications:

• Breast cancer imaging
• Fusion physical simulation
• Flood modelling
• Weather forecast

This talk will describe the technical setup of our grid. A life demonstration of our GUI is envisaged, but may not be fully functional yet. The applications will be described as well.
