Road: Newcastle is easily reached via road from the North and South via the A1

Rail: Regular train service from London King's Cross takes about 3 hours. From Newcastle central station take the Metro to Haymarket (two stops) for the University. More information on national rail services is available from Railtrack and GNER. To book tickets call 08457 225 225

Air: Newcastle Airport is only 20 minutes away from the university by Metro or taxi. Car hire is available at the airport.

Coach: Frequent services run from London and other major cities. The nearest coach station is Gallowgate, National Express is the main coach operator serving Newcastle

Local transport: local bus services are provided by GoNorthEast, Arriva and Stagecoach Busways, integrated ticketing is available allowing you to use a combination of bus, Metro and local rail services. Local travel information is provided by Nexus through their travel-line: 0870 608 2 608
Parking: There is a public car park on Claremont Road which is three minutes' walk from the University precinct where parking is not normally possible. Multi-storey car parking is also available nearby in Eldon Square and Eldon Garden. It is also possible to park out of town at various Metro stations including Heworth and Callerton Parkway if you'd rather avoid city centre traffic
