Wireless
The information here is believed correct, but may vary from reality at the conference, and reality take precedence.
The conference centre has extensive wireless coverage.
- University of Manchester staff and students can use their local accounts.
- Members of Institutions supporting Janet Roaming can use their institutional accounts
- Users with vpn software using the "university" SSID can use the vpn to route all their traffic to the other end of their vpn without authentication.
- There is commercial wireless available for everyone else.
- There is also a "telegeneration" SSID which is an alternate wireless provider allowing members of a group of universities free access details.
Speakers will have a wired connection from which to present.
The University SSID only allows a specific range of "secure" ports through even after authentication.
Wireless questions can not be answered by the conference organisers.
