Managing networks and systems with Zenoss
Abstract
There are a growing number of Open Source competitors to the "Big 4" commercial network management products. In summer 2008, Jane set out to create a short paper comparing Nagios, OpenNMS and Zenoss and ended up with something closer to a mini-book! This presentation covers the highlights of the paper focusing particularly on Zenoss.
Speaker biography
Jane Curry has been a network and systems management technical consultant and trainer for 20 years. During her 11 years working for IBM she had both pre-sales and consultancy roles spanning the Tivoli availability products. Since 1997 Jane has been an independent consultant working with many companies, both large and small, commercial and public sector. Over the last 5 years her work has been more involved with Open Source offerings.
