UKUUG will hold its next Winter Conference in Bournemouth on 25 and 26 February, preceded by a separate tutorial on the morning of the first day.
The main theme for this year's conference is High Availability and Reliability, with talks from Alan Robertson (IBM Linux Technology Centre) on Heartbeat, and Lars Marowsky-Bree (SUSE, Cologne) on the design and set-up of high-availability clusters.
The UKUUG Winter Conference offers an opportunity for members to meet, learn, and enjoy lively debate on a host of subjects, and to attend interesting presentations by prominent speakers in the open systems arena.
As well as papers on the general theme, the UKUUG wishes to encourage discussion on key aspects of systems and their administration: theory and practice; performance; network management; novel solutions to practical problems; integration; interoperability; and security. Work-in-progress presentations and project posters are also welcome; proposals for these should be submitted in the same way as for full papers.
