Google and Sun have announced a deal to cross–promote some of each other’s software including, importantly, OpenOffice. Sun will offer Google’s toolbar as an optional add–on for users downloading their software, whilst Google will “explore opportunities” to promote Sun’s products, especially Java, and to help distibute OOo.
