Forbes Magazine has a piece comparing the M&M (Ma. and MS) battle to the opening salvos of the Revolutionary war - it’s an interesting article aside from the laboured allegory. There’s a piece over at Information Week which repeats the fallacy that this policy is anti-Microsoft - it would be more accurate to describe Microsoft as anti-ODF - no less than four times, and suggests that the Open Document policy would unfairly lock MS out - again, turn that on it’s head and you’re about right; it’s Microsoft’s policy to keep ODF out of Office that’s causing the problem.

ZDNet and Microsoft’s John Caroll has some er… interesting thoughts on the subject that had me spluttering into my coffee with rage, once again with some ropey analogy comparing ODF to Esperanto as its hook.
