    GNU SQL server is a free, portable multi-user Relational DataBase Management System (RDBMS) supporting the SQL89 dialect with some extensions from SQL92.

    KE Texpress is a multi-user DBMS with object-oriented features to help design databases with any combination of fully indexed relational data, free text, and multi-media objects.

    KUBL ia RDBMS for UNIX and Windows. It features replication and object-oriented extensions for “state of the art” applications.

    LEAP is a free RDBMS distributed under the terms of the GNU General Public License. It was originally developed as a teaching tool.

    Material's Object-Oriented Database provides database services for non-standard material data (see cover CD).

    ROOT provides an object-oriented framework with the functionality to handle and analyse large amounts of data (10 Terabytes of raw data per run at Cern) in an efficient way. It is an open system that can be dynamically extended by linking external libraries.
