Daniel Barlow first discovered free software through using Emacs back in 1992, and has been using Linux since 0.99pl13 or so, contributing some documentation and the occasional patch or utility. In more recent years he's been involved with Lisp in a big way, working with SBCL and feeding CLiki, the Free Common Lisp Wiki at

Daniel {owns, is the employee of} metacircles Ltd, programming internet applications and offering consultancy services on Linux/Lisp.
