Bob Gautier is a director of Ateb Limited (www.ateb.co.uk), a consultancy and solutions company set up in 1999 to provide I.T. solutions and services based on Free software. Before Ateb, Bob spent 11 years as a Senior Research Associate at the Computer Science Department at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, during which time he gained a PhD for work on software reuse.
Bob has been writing C since the early 80s, but now solves most problems in Tcl, with C to help if necessary. His Tcl-and-C projects have included an embedded system simulator and debugger (for the Esprit SENDIT project), a telephony switching application, and JWalk, a tool for inspecting Java source code (http://www.crwydrwr.demon.co.uk/JWALK/)
Bob is currently contributing to the management system for a network of Linux servers to be installed in secondary schools.
