Dear Member,

RE: UKUUG Annual General Meeting, 25th September 2003, 6.15 p.m.

We hope that you will be able to attend this year’s UKUUG AGM which will be held on Thursday, 25th September at 6.15 p.m. at University College London, Cruciform Building (Lecture Theatre 2), Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT.

The past year has again been very successful for UKUUG with some very well attended events, a good Newsletter, and an influx of new members. It is important that this momentum is maintained for the future.

The present Council of Management are:

• Chairman Charles Curran (re-elected (for a second term) Sept. 2001)
• Treasurer James Youngman (re-elected (for a second term) Sept. 2002)
• Alasdair Kergon (re-elected (for a second term) Sept. 2002)
• Roger Whittaker (elected Sept. 2000)*
• Sam Smith (elected Sept. 2002)
• Alain Williams (elected Sept. 2002)

*Roger Whittaker has served one term of three years and thus his term of office terminates at this AGM. However, he is standing again for re-election.

Council is limited to 6 members; 1 place will therefore become vacant at this AGM.

As always, we’re actively seeking members to assist UKUUG in our efforts; we encourage you to join one or several of our working groups. At present, much of UKUUG’s tasks are managed by the Council or individual members, but we, as UKUUG, could achieve much more if we collaborated in groups. If you’re keen on contributing in areas such as Events, Newsletters, Membership, Commercial Liaison, Academic Liaison, Schools, Website and Documentation, Regional Groups, Publicity, or any other aspect, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
