Hacking at your GNOME!

Why CORBA, glib, GTK+ and why Bonobo?

After a brief introduction to GNOME and the concepts behind its inception, Michael will give a detailed study of who, why and how people hack GNOME. It will include a review of the progress to date, interoperability and installation issues, manageability, commercial support and documentation.

Michael is an Electrical and Information Science student at the University of Cambridge, with expertise in Real time A/V editing and playback, HW / SW development for Quantel Ltd. He has been involved in GNOME Office development pwrt gnumeric & MS Office compatibility.
