UKUUG Linux 2001 Linux Developers' Conference ![]() 29 June - 1 July 2001, Renold Building, UMIST, Manchester |
On the Friday evening we have arranged for a demonstration of The Baby at the Museum of Science and Industry. The Baby is the first stored-program computer, built in Manchester between 1946 and 1948.
This will be followed by a Banquet at nearby top Chinese restaurant, the Yang Sing.
The evening is only possible because of generous sponsorship by Advanced Micro Devices - see the talk by Bo Thorsen about the sledgehammer port.
The subsidised price (inc. wine) is just UKP 20.00 (inc. VAT) for delegates, and UKP 30.00 for guests.
Booking deadline: 21st June.
