We also supply dedicated servers from £60 per month and are unique in offering a free upgrade path between hosting products- our customers can start with the product they need now, and when they want something bigger, we handle the hard stuff - their sites keep running running without any messy transitions.

Technical support and product development is done only by a handful of UK-based Linux and networking specialists. Our staff has stayed small so we can keep our expert advice supplied "as standard" despite our thousands of customers and continually expanding network.

Exhibitors

O'Reilly

During the event O'Reilly will be giving 35% discount on all the books.

O'Reilly Media spreads the knowledge of innovators through its books, online services, magazine, and conferences. Since 1978, O'Reilly has been a chronicler and catalyst of leading-edge development, homing in on the technology trends that really matter and spurring their adoption by amplifying "faint signals" from the alpha geeks who are creating the future. An active participant in the technology community, the company has a long history of advocacy, meme-making, and evangelism.

Linux Emporium

A selection of these products will be on sale during LinuxConf.

The Linux Emporium is the UK's first and foremost Linux shop. Products include Hardware, Software and Training and the range encompasses Linux laptops, wifi cards, clothing and Linux DVD's and CD's as well as Python, VoIP and Linux training.

Sony - Performance of face detection on PLAYSTATION(R)3 (PS3)

PS3 has high performance 3.2GHz CPU named Cell Broadband Engine (Cell/B.E.). The demonstration will be comparing performance of object recognition library on Cell/B.E. and PC architecture between same clock speeds. Only PS3 cleverly distinguishes face portion from High-Definition MPEG streaming data at almost real time while other has delays. It is good opportunity to glance the power of heterogeneous multi-core architecture, one Power Processor Element (PPE), PowerPC compatible core, and seven Synergistic Processor Elements (SPEs), vector processing cores, for your home computing system.

Sun

Sun Microsystems are proud sponsors of this years LinuxConf Europe 2007. You can come and find us located in the exhibition hall during the event breaks and lunches. We'll be demonstrating the latest community developed Open Solaris innovations in Linux compatibility, including Solaris xVM, BrandZ and QEMU.

Come and speak to one of our experienced engineers, to find out how you can derive even greater performance and benefit from your Linux applications using OpenSolaris.

Xen

The Solaris xVM software is a virtualization system, or virtual machine monitor, for the Solaris operating system on x86 systems. Solaris xVM enables you to run multiple virtual machines simultaneously on a single physical machine. Each virtual machine, known as a domain, runs its own complete and distinct operating system instance, which includes its own I/O devices. This differs from zone-based virtualization, in which all zones shares the same kernel.
