Lars Marowsky-Brée - SuSE LabsThe Linux HA Project 2007The Linux HA project, founded by Alan Robertson in 1999, is one of the oldest High Availability offerings on Linux. Version 2, a major rewrite first released in 2005, introduced significant features - larger clusters, XML-based configuration, modular design, automation features, Open Clustering Framework support, integration with Xen, OCFS2, EVMS2 and more. It ships with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and is available for all Linux distributions and has uncountable installs. In this presentation, I will discuss the current status, lessons learnt and remaining issues and tasks, and an outlook on the future: integration with openAIS, GFS2 and more. |
