Travel

Situated at the very heart of England, Birmingham is closer than you think. It has excellent transport facilities and is convenient to reach from cities and towns throughout the UK.

Maps

Train

Birmingham International Railway Station is a convenient 90-second SkyRail journey from Birmingham International Airport. New Street Station is located in the city centre and can also be reached through The Mall Pallasades. It provides easy access to shops and attractions as well as a regular route to London Euston and other major cities.

The hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from Birmingham New Street station. Taxis are also available from the station, with a journey time of approximately 5 minutes.

Also located in the city centre, Snow Hill and Moor Street Stations serve routes from London Marylebone and areas in the West Midlands. The recently renovated historic Moor Street Station completes Birmingham's three mainline stations, all of which have parking facilities and bus services conveniently located nearby.

Please contact National Rail Enquiries for timetable and route information: www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Car

Birmingham is the heart of England's motorway network linking the M1, M5, M6, M40 and M42. The city provides easily identifiable routes to towns and other cities throughout the UK, as well as quick access to Birmingham's major attractions and venues.

Opened in December 2003, the M6 Toll Road creates an additional route to and through Birmingham. For those who prefer a more scenic drive, a number of major roads such as the A34 and A38 provide alternative journeys to and through the city.

There are some 200 car parking spaces at the Hotel. Parking cost to delegates is £4.00 per day. Spaces are allocated on a first come first served basis. There is also plenty of street parking near the Hotel.

Coach

National Express offers journeys to Birmingham from 500 locations in Europe and provides access to 1,200 destinations in England, Scotland and Wales via Birmingham. Especially popular are the Heathrow and Gatwick airport routes and the hourly-service from London Victoria. Just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre is Birmingham's main coach station, Digbeth. About to undergo a refurbishment, Digbeth will be replaced by a new coach station for Birmingham, which will offer improved facilities and convenient links to Snow Hill Railway Station.

Air

With more than 50 airlines flying from over 100 destinations, visitors from Dublin to Dubai will find Birmingham International Airport a convenient entry point to the city and region. Adjacent to the National Exhibition Centre and Birmingham International Railway Station and just 8 miles from the city centre, the airport offers a host of hotel, parking and car hire facilities.
